More On Valentines Day

I dont think i've ever really used this place as a personal forum yet, but I'm about to. if that's a problem for you then skip this post and read the other stuff.

I dont think this will be very funny or amusing, just... my peice on the topic.

If you need a special holiday to tell someone how you feel, show them how you feel, or buy them a gift? Then you're not the best person you could be.

Think of the last 5 special things you did for the person you're with. Were they all on holidays or special "days"?

If so, you need to change the way you think about things. The truth of the matter is, every day is a special day when you're with someone who you really genuinely care about. When I was pretty serious about this one girl I tried to do as many nice things as often as I could. Especially on special occasions like "Weekends" or "morning time" or "when I woke up."

Seriously. Why arent you being the best person you can? Why arent you being making every day special?

It doesnt take much either, i'm not talking weekly ski holidays. I'm saying bringing her lunch at work, or giving her a call while you're apart and saying you love her. Bringing dinner home instead of going out for a change, renting a movie and having it at home waiting for him... Its these little things that make the truly happy couples truly happy.

I'm not talking about smothering them, I'm talking about just being a really nice person for them. And hey, if they're really the one for you, they'll reciprocate it. Can you imagine how fucking NICE it would be for you two to accidently plan two nice things at once? say one of you plans a romantic dinner, the other pics up a romantic movie... ? What a pleasent fucking suprise, and god forbid it would add a change of pace to your rat race of a life.

So, if you're with someone and reading this... and I sure the fuck hope you arent reading it on valentine's day weekend instead of spending time with your signifigant other... then take this to heart. When monday rolls around, why dont you pretend its valentines day all over again and make her a happy person.

If you're alone, like me, this holiday remember this lesson when you meet someone in the future. Try to make every day special, and who knows, they just might fucking end up being special.

I do know that the next person I'm with is gonna get sick of me being nice all the goddamned time.
