I dont get it...

I dont get it. women are possibly beyond my realm of understanding. I'm sure I'm not the only person out there.

Tonight I upset or pissed off a person I had met by saying something I didnt mean to them. I said one thing but, it was taken as completely another. I dont want to get into the personal details of it but to illustrate the point let me give you an example of some conversations that have taken place in my life.

Me and my friend out at a bar one night:

Me: Wow, phil. Christ all mighty. That might have been the dumbest fucking thing I've ever seen come out of your fat disgusting face. Christ man. Wow.

Phil: Yeah. Well Its just too over your ignorant ass head to fucking understand. If you'd finished gradeschool maybe you'd get it.

me: possibly.


See? nothing bad happened. we insulted each other and life went on. We drank more, we ate more, we were merry. we were two friends confident in our friendships with one another.

Now here is an example conversation with an ex girlfriend from a long time ago. (hi I hope you're not reading)

Me: man, women are so complicated sometimes. But I guess that's part of the allure. *charming grin*

her: are you saying i'm crazy?

me: no? when.. I didnt use the word crazy? I said sometimes women in general are complicated.

her: so you think I'm crazy sometimes then?

Me: no. No not at all. You're not crazy at all, I've never thought you were crazy. maybe complicated at times but...

her: so you admit you think i'm crazy?

me: noo....

her: I'm going home.

and that pretty much was verbatim how it went down.

I damn well know that its pretty much a standard that men and women dont communicate well. There are about 9000 books written so far this year on the subject and it is only july. Before christmas we will be swimming in a sea of books with titles such as "Who the fuck are you and why wont you cuddle" and "you're fat, why cant I put on a few pounds too".

And yes I know this is a broad generlization. I know not all women are this bad at communication skills. I know that if they were the book would be called "Men are from Mars and women are from some fucking final level of hell where evil is like the air you breath and the worst tortures imaginable happen to fuzzy animals."

Its just that rare few that really seem to not get it. Unluckily it seems that only the ones who dont "get it" are the ones I attract.

I've met some amazingly awesome women all to have it fall apart over some mistaken word or sequence of words. Women I have loved with all my heart have walked out of my door on a presumption. I just dont get it.

I hope that I havent lost another this time, but something tells me I wont hear from her again.
