Booble Search Engine on the rocks

You probably already know about the Booble search engine, its been in the news. Basically its a "parody" website of Google.com, the worlds easiest, simplest, most popular and best search engine on the internet.

Booble successfully Parodies so much of google intelectual copyrights that its quite possible one could confuse it with a part of the google.com family... which was recognized this year as the number 1 internet brand by some sort of organization or another.

Anyways, this article goes on to explain that google is unhappy with this.

Now, booble has placed a small section on its website that reads "Booble.com is not affiliated with any other search engines (for starters, we have a sense of humor).

Anyways, its a parody site. Trying to shut them down only gets them more publicity. I think its a mistake but then again who am I to judge. I'd personally have just let it go if I was google, or asked them to do their best to make the site look less like google.

Irregardless, they wont be around much longer. Either they will fade into obscurity, or get railroaded there by lawyers. Either way is fine with me.

I tried a few searches on booble and either you get
1) NOTHING
2) ALL sponsors
3) SHIT

that's it. No decent results. You do a search in google for "free sex pics" and you're going to get free sex pics by god. If you do a search for the same in booble, all you get is crap.

You'd think they'd take all this free publicity and use it to build a long lasting decent website users want to use, like google did. Instead, they're wasting it, which makes me one sad panda.
