Improper Views on Sex
I’ve read it I think about a thousand times today.
“Viewing porn at a young age provides an unfair view about sex” and “we want our kids to grow up with a healthy outlook on sex” and so on and so forth.
There is something here I dont get. What IS a healthy outlook on sex? What IS a FAIR view about sex?
Maybe my view on sex is just too fucking warped, so I went to my friends at Totalfark.com to ask. Here is what I found:

So how, what, when, where does porn keep you from achieving these things? 1) you probably still know when and where its ok to touch yourself
2) you’ll probably still have an idea when you’re emotionally ready to screw
3) you’ll probably still know what your sexual behavoir limits are. Even if you dont, your partner will let you know… even if she has to press charges.
4) respecting a partners limitations and wishes; Unless you’re an asshole, you’re not going to do this regardless of how much porn you view.
5) getting enough sex without hurting anyone else; Unless you’ve got a socialogical problem, I think you’ll find its easy to get enough sex. If you dont get it from your partner, get a sock.
6) knowing when to say no to porn? When should I say no? when it bothers my partner, and when i prefere it over the real thing.
This is only a guess, but perhaps a child will grow up thinking that men can hold a hard on that long and pop on command… that all women have tits that large and unmoving… that bending one’s leg over their head while leaning on a motorcycle is simple… that women keep their stilletos on while getting it in the butt…. a kid might also think he’s underendowed…
It’s the same sort of mentality associated with Barbie dolls. Porn is fiction. It’s sex, but it’s fiction. It’s not an accurate representation of the average human form, or the average sex act. A child might assume that’s what everyone looks like, or that’s what everyone does, and grow to have expectation OR low self-esteem.
Yeah, ok. Porn is fiction, I think we all know that. The same way when we set down to watch Friends or Smallville. its make believe. Its pretend. its art.
so, why not just teach your kids one simple thing “If you ever see porn, just know most of what goes on inside it isnt real. Not everyone can look that ‘good’ the same way not everyone cane look like your favorite movie actress and actor.” and go from there? Just make it a part of the birds and bees speech.

This, of course, is the smartest thing anyone said. Sure, I guess if the first thing you learn about sex is eating feces or having two cocks in your ass that is bad. So why not, as a parent, let them know these things generally dont happen in most bedrooms?
Still, I dont get it. Parents, take the time to teach your kids right from wrong before I have to. I’ve always felt a social responsiblity writing this blog to do exactly that and its a shame because I shouldnt because YOU should be taking care of it.
So what if they see some silicon tits? they might marry a woman with a nice big fake set.
So what if they see a girl who likes anal? Maybe they’ll meet the girl who does and love her the way you loved that childs mother.
So what if they think all girls are bi? Maybe they’ll marry the Lesbi girl you always dreamt of and have a threesome every weekend.
Dream big, parents. OR dont dream at all and teach them before its too late.

Who would ever prefer porn to real sex?
I don’t think that has ever happened. People look at porn because they aren’t getting enough sex.
