Why do you do what you do?
I’ve been asked an unusual amount of times in the past week why I do the job that I do. Once by a christian conservative and once again by a pretty neutrally affiliated friend. They both got the same answers.
But I’m wondering if you folks care to know?
The short of it is simple. I like being my own boss. I held two jobs before doing this, the first washing dishes in a mexican resturant. It was a nightmare. The second was security at a building at the local campus. both of these jobs were ages ago, but, they are still fresh in memory.
I enjoy the freedom of ‘working’ and ‘not working’. Most of you with an office job will understand that, meaning that I hate having to be at work without actually having work to do. Its insane. I also hate ignorant boring ass busy work that no one benefits from. Calculate this spread sheet for our records. records you’ll never use. goto hell.
So, when I’m done working for the day I goto a friends, take a drive, go shopping, take a nap, play some games. That’s it. I know when I’m no longer being productive and I dont have to wait another 4 hours after lunch to take my fucking tie off and go home. Instead I do it right here.
Secondly I Like not having to wear a fucking shirt all day if I dont want to. Sure, most days I do anyways, but I dont HAVE to and hey that’s a freedom I Love.
Yeah, I know, that with my people skills and communication skills and expertise in this field I could probably be making 3 times what I do now. I’ve been offered quite a few jobs from quite a few places in the tech field. But instead I stay here and I earn very little.
But I do in fact live like a king. Sure, not like say P-Diddy (or is it just now diddy? or something? I dont know) but i do live like a guy with the freedom of a king. To do what he wants, eat when he wants, shit, sleep, watch tv, turn on some loud music, go where I want. its real nice.
Sure I want an iPod and I cant really spend that money cause I put it back into the biz or pay bills with it and sure I need a newer car and shit and keep the old clunker around so I can reinvist my money and sure I owe some money to several bill collection agencies, but who doesnt in this day and age. Its pretty much a cut throat economy.
But I take solace in knowing that every day people I know goto their 10.00 an hour job and work their ases off or put up with a fucking boss they cant stand to talk to and deal with their horseshit, while i’m at home looking at porn sometimes and whiping my dick out and watching checks arrive every day in the mail. Small checks but they’re coming and they add up.
I dont make a lot of money, you guys dont buy a lot of stuff from my site (and I think we can admit this site as well as most of my other sites are pretty ad free, they just try to get you to the porn) and that’s fine. I’m glad when you’re glad and pop ups and banners and bullshit dont make you glad.
I can either be the kind of person who bullshitted you guys around and made a lot of dough or the guy that helped you find good porn and made a little bit. The little bit is fine. Ya know one day I’ll be on my death bed and no amount of money in the world will help but going into oblivion knowing I helped make a lot of horny people happy sure will. I hope I get a cooler seat in hell for it.

Excellent philosophy; really resonated with me, one of he $10/hr office job (law clerk) guys. Keep up the great work, and maintain your values, beliefs, and ideals. Thanks for doing what you do. You do make horny people happy. And I laugh here. I laugh a lot.

I do hope you look into the FSC. I know those guys are taking home a fair chunk of change, get a lot of business from adult folks, and you’re fighting the good fight. I hope you get into it and make a buttload doing it too
