So you want to be a porn businessman? you want to start yourself up in the industry? Then you should read this interview I found in my inbox today with Anh Tran, owner of Wanted List the online porn rental company.
Read the article yourself, and I think you’ll be really suprised. My favorite quote from the whole deal:
They grossed around 7 million dollars last year but are still not profitable. In that time period they have met tons of porn stars, dated a lot of them and have had sex with some.
Hooray.
Just realize its not an overnight thing, folks.
They expected 100,000 users in 4 years and sold everything they owned to self-fund their business. Considering it took $100 million for Netflix to start-up these two only had $200,000 from selling their motorcycles, family gifts and living off ramen for the next few years.
For every webmaster i hear that says ” I want to get started in the biz!” you have to realize it takes a lot of elbow grease, and I guess hand grease, to make the fortune some folks have made (not me, unfortunately!)
